Twabuka School, Zambia
Twabuka School, part of Sinde Village, is about a 30-minute drive from Wildnerness’ Toka Leya Camp and within an hour from Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. As a primary school, Ngamo educates 300 students from 4 to 14-years-old who attend kindergarten plus grades 1 through 8.
Henny’s Kids’ commitment to Twabuka School began in 2014 with a donation of solar-powered computers and portable solar panels.
In 2016, Henny’s Kids provided additional computers and manuals.
In 2018, Henny’s Kids sponsored a weekend of teacher training on the OLPC computers taught by an OLPC professional. Henny’s Kids covered the airfare and the trainer’s fee while Children in the Wilderness provided ground transportation and lodging.
The teachers receive follow-up assistance by email and phone from OLPC trainers.
Henny’s Kids receives progress reports from the school.

We continue to raise funds for additional laptops and training.
